Why Cabarete
IT’S 10 P.M., MIDDLE OF THE WINTER, DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR BATHING SUIT IS?
Maynard James Keenen wrote in the song Aenima the following lyrics:
Fret for your figure and
Fret for your latte and
Fret for your lawsuit and
Fret for your hairpiece and
Fret for your prozac and
Fret for your pilot and
Fret for your cable and
Fret for your car.
It’s a B.S. three ring circus sideshow….
This treadmill we call modern day living is unsustainable. That’s why you need a vacation. That’s why you’ve got to go to Cabarete. Chillaxing, yes chillaxing. It’s the wonderful combination of ‘chilling’ and ‘relaxing,’ and it’s what to do once you’ve touched down on the island. It’s what happens when you live in the present moment and get out of living in your mind. You feel the sand under your feet. You smell the coconut you’re about to drink from. You taste the lobster drenched in butter. You become childlike, you become human again.
So now you’re thinking about going to the Dominican Republic. Well, you’re mind is in the right place…now you’ve just got to get there. When considering the DR you’ve got multiple options to consider on where to go. One of the most frequented places is Punta Cana and it is definitely a beautiful spot, however it’s more of a sheeple vacation. What’s a sheeple vacation you ask? A Sheeple vacation typically consists of an all-inclusive resort where you are herded around from buffet line to congo line in an artificially created Caribbean environment. It’s like going to an 80’s theme park. You get the same average food choices each day, you wear an ugly neon colored wristband and you don’t really get to experience any more depth than that. It’s not that bad, I mean it’s still a vacation. By going to Cabarete you get the comfort of a hotel with the freedom of condominium. You are able to get out into the island, hit the beach or just explore whatever you feel like seeing. You can see the many exciting things to do by reviewing the Activities Tab. From Kitesurfing to world class Golfing, you’ve got plenty to do once you get here!
